Test your matching skills in Marbelous – a game that puts a new twist on the matching game genre
Built for today’s mobile devices in mind, Marbelous comes with 4 styles of game play which are bound to have you busting marbles for hours. Best of all, it is totally free.
It’s currently available on Windows Devices.
Marbelous 2 is out now!
We have created a new version of our marble matching game. You can check it out here!.
Instructions
The basic idea behind Marbelous is to find all of the matching sets of coloured marbles. Touch them once to see how many points they are worth. Touch them again to remove them. The more Marbles you group together, the more points they are worth.
1. Select a set of matching marbles to see what they are worth by clicking on them.
2. Click on them again again to remove them from the grid.
3. The grid will collapse to fill in the gaps.
If you remove 5 or more marbles in one go you will be rewarded with a Wild Card marble that can be used to match any colour.
That’s the basics – each game mode has a slight variation in the game play so read on to find out what game type suits you.
Game Modes
Gravity
Race against the clock to match as many colours as you can before the time runs out – use the rotation of the device to control which way the marbles fall. (Note: On Windows and Windows Phone the rotation of the grid is controlled by on screen controls)
Every time you remove a selection you add more time to the timer bar – if you fill it up, you will progress to the next level where the marbles are worth more points. Clearing the top row triggers more marbles to be added to the grid.
Every group of 3 or more selected builds up the power bar which when full awards you with a special powerup that can be used to remove a group of marbles.
Tumble
Fight against a randomly rotating grid in an attempt to get as many points as you can before the timer runs out.
Every time you remove a selection you add more time to the timer bar – if you fill it up, you will progress to the next level where the marbles are worth more points. Clearing the top row triggers more marbles to be added to the grid.

Gravity
Original is based on my Marble Buster game. It uses a wide grid where gaps are filled by the marbles first dropping downwards, then sliding to the right.
Every time you clear the left most column, more marbles are added to the grid from the left of the screen. There is a preview of what marbles are going to be added next.
You keep playing until there are no more moves left.
